Chalet la Valentine is a classic traditional Savoyard wooden self catered skiing family chalet in the French Alps, built on 3

floors, with pine panelled interior walls and ladder wooden stairs. The chalet is ideal accommodation for self catered skiing and summer family activity holidays. It sleeps up to 8 very comfortably. 8 people (this includes both children and adults) plus cot (i.e. child of one year or less) is normally the maximum we allow in the chalet. In special circumstances we will permit 10 for family lettings only (e.g. 2 families with 3 children each). Please email sally@chaletlavalentine.com if you have more than 8 in your party. We adjust the weekly letting prices for the hire of the whole chalet for 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 and 10 people staying.

There is one cot, one high chair, 2 stair gates, and one cot side for a child sleeping in a bed;

all available for guests with small children. The chalet is very warm in winter with electric radiators in every room. There is broad band internet access available at the chalet (if you need to keep in contact with work or need access to your emails), satellite television and a phone to take incoming calls and make local and emergency calls.

The Ground Floor

The ski/summer chalet’s large garage is used for storage of skis and ski boots in the winter and bikes in the summer. A door leads from the garage to a hallway. From the hallway there is a double bedroom, a bedroom with bunk beds, and separate bathroom (shower, sink and WC). The washing machine and tumble dryer are at the end of the hallway from which wooden stairs lead to the first floor.

         

 

      

First Floor

Off the hallway is a bathroom, separate WC, the kitchen and the lounge. The chalets fully fitted kitchen is well equipped for a self catering summer or ski holiday, with fridge freezer. dishwasher, fan assisted oven, halogen electric hob, microwave, and filter coffee machine.

  

        

        

There is an open fireplace in the lounge and doors open onto large east and south facing balconies. Off the lounge is a large separate dining room with views west down the valley.

                              

        

                

Second Floor

Stairs from the lounge lead up to the mezzanine on the top floor. From the mezzanine are doors to a twin bedroom with 2 single beds, and one very large bedroom with a choice of one double bed or two single beds.

    

           

       

Please note that from Winter 2008 all the beds and mattresses will have been replaced and 8 guests will have a choice of 6 single beds and 2 doubles in 4 bedrooms. This allows greater flexibility in sleeping arrangements. Before arriving you can tell us which beds you would like so we can make them up for you.
